Ronda Herman breaks the number-cruncher mold.
A numbers geek? Absolutely. She lives for working numbers different ways and through multiple scenarios to find more advantageous ways of doing your taxes and structuring your finances.
But her approach to the world of digits, financial planning and tax regulations comes with something you won’t always find in an accountant and bookkeeper. She describes it as a “good vibes” approach to working with clients. Easy conversation, really getting to know you and having some fun while taking care of your financial needs – yeah, that’s Ronda.
And if easy-going is what you see, hardworking is what you’re going to appreciate. People who know her say “Do it right. And right now.” is one of her mantras.
But they also talk about her caring, kindness and positivity that’s downright contagious. Ronda says it all comes down to giving people the respect they deserve and earning their trust. “I want the best for my clients,” she said. “If they’re succeeding, then I’m succeeding.”
Experience helps, too. Prior to starting Evergreen, Ronda spent seven years at H&R Block, where she prepared more than 3,000 tax returns. She also was the office manager, instructor for the company’s income tax class and editor of the North Dakota State Tax Book that H & R Block prints each year.
Ronda recently earned the Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent designation. An EA is a tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS for tax issues such as audits, collections and appeals.
When she’s not crunching the ol’ numbers, Ronda spends her time taking care of her three grandchildren. She also likes to sew, cook what she calls “farm meals,” and watch history-based fictional movies.
No, Ronda’s not your average number cruncher. But when you add up everything she is, you get someone who’s going to make you feel comfortable while taking care of you, your family and your business.
